Guess Where I Have Been

ROSEMARY BEACH!!!!

The YaYa Mother and I met my sister and her family for a beautiful week at the beach.

We had only 1 day of rain so this happened:

Underwear Man paid us a visit...what else are you going to do at the beach when it's raining and you are 6?

Us adults kept our undies in place and did a little shopping.

I recommend the following places if you happen to get burnt or rained out:

Per*spi*cas*ity in Seaside
Willow + Woods in Seaside and Rosemary
Mercantile in Seaside
Bombora Sun and Surf in Rosemary
The Art of Simple in Seaside

So I'm back and ready for Flea Market tomorrow morning and then I'm hitting the highway again with my partner in crime Brandy to Birmingham for an art festival.

I'll post my finds next week...have a great weekend!

I Popped A Tag

I realize it's just an IKEA chair but this bad boy was hanging out in the middle of the GW and  had a tag with $27.00 on it so I popped it.

I think Betty looks pretty sexy above it.

If You Are Moving To Connecticut, I Found You A House

My beautiful and uber talented sister is selling her home and I have to share pics of this house.

It was built in 1969 and sits on 2 acres overlooking a pond. Her decorating skills are like none other and this home showcases them so well.

On the market for $1,445,000, this contemporary home at 174 Fox Run Road in New Canaan has 10 rooms over three levels. Photo: Contributed

Crazy or Cool?

I found this on Craigslist and I am on the fence...crazy like Jessica Lange in American Horror or cool boho girl like Nicole Richie?

The description is that it is dated in the 50's and is from Monaco. I would love to know the story behind this. It's priced at $375.00.

Anyone want to go see or need Aladdin's sofa?

No, This Is Not Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon

This is my front door

Clearly a representation of us and a hint that inside is by no means cookie cutter or Rooms To Go.

This front however needs some sort of cover. In the summer it is like a sun dagger hits you in the face so I'm thinking a black and white awning.

Like this:

for my house

Remember to keep your awnings clean and replace them when needed. Often they can be the first impression or show piece of a home

Cute awnings. This won't be a cheap date but it will be so worth it.

Kitchen Floor Reveal

It has taken me forever to get this post out but between gloomy weather and Emily home for spring break, this is the best I can do.

Before:

After:

It's hard to get a good shot of the space because it's not the biggest kitchen on the planet but you get the idea that it is a huge improvement.

We switched tables in dining and breakfast area and I'm loving it. My son says it's a little like Knights of the Round Table in the kitchen but I love my over sized quirky chairs.

The glass and chrome table is a better choice in the dining room and allows us to seat more people.

I am so happy to be linoleum free and done with this kitchen. It's been a long road but well worth the wait.

Now on to the next project!
