The needlepoint art definitely came home with me and now resides in my back staircase.
This back staircase is on the to do list
To do list:
1. remove carpet
2. paint banister
3. funk up the risers
I have been dying over the look of wallpaper, fabric or interesting tile applied to risers.
This staircase is really only used by us to transport various beverages up to the man cave so I feel like this is a missed opportunity to have some fun with this space.
Now, to decide on which way to go.
Love your wall-hanging. How did I miss that at the flea?? Totally agree - you need to have some fun with that stairwell. I love the idea of painting/papering the risers. I remember one blogger (maybe Powell-Brower) painting a staircase with an ombre effect. Pretty cool ideas out there.

That cocktail set in the first photo is amazing. I swear I was JUST lusting after the blue and green version of that set on eBay, but decided I cannot possibly justify bringing one more piece of glassware into my house. Love the needlepoint, too. And the stairs -- so fun. I can't wait to see what you do.
